90 and 60 year olds knocked to the ground
An woman in her 90s and another in her 60s were knocked to the ground in and robbed in Macroom yesterday afternoon.
Shortly before 3pm, the two ladies were out walking in the castle grounds area of Macroom, when they were both knocked to the ground and had their handbag stolen by two men.
The men then left the scene by heading into Macroom Golf Club and out onto the road at Sleeven Upper. The woman in her 90s was brought to CUH with what is described as minor injuries.
The two suspects are described as both being tall, thin and in their late teens or early 20s.
Gardaí are appealing for anyone who was in the castle grounds, Macroom Golf Club or Sleeven Upper, and who may have seen the two men. Gardaí are also seeking any drivers who were in the area at the time and who have dash cam footage.

No arrests have been made and the investigation is ongoing, gardaí confirmed this morning.
