Bringing the Haus down
An independent Cork music collective are set to unveil their debut live show with a blockbuster showcase this month.
Hausu Records will tread an unlikely trail to Pot Duggan’s in Ennistymon, Clare this Good Friday 19 April for a night of live music featuring some of its artists and collaborators.
Formed last year by a group of DIY musicians, graphic designers and producers, the Cork collective launches its first formal live performance at the 2018 McKenna’s Irish Pub of the Year, a famed sessions haunt for musicians in the west of Ireland.
Appearing on the night will be Ghostking is Dead, the nom de guerre of Matt Corrigan, whose reverb-laden brand of pop has garnered acclaim from the likes of Nialler9 and has been reviewed by big-hitting music vloggers like Anthony Fantano.
Also performing will be Luke Aston, who under the moniker Arthur Valentine recently drew attention for his debut single, the sweetly starry-eyed ‘Selfish’.
The night will also see live debuts for electronic pop artist Drew Linehan, aka Automatic Blue, and virtuosic psychedelic/electronic producer Jack Corrigan, aka Actualacid.
Featuring performances of some of the Hausu crew's already released work, the showcase will also include a host of previously unreleased material and first-time collaborations. The debut Hausu Night takes place on Friday 19 April in Pot Duggan’s in Ennistimon, Clare.
Tickets are €5(early bird)/€7 and are available from Eventbrite.ie.
