Fire it up this sunny season
Barbecue season is now in full swing, especially after the recent hot weather. We looked at some of the varied options for a delicious summer feast at the English Market!
O’Mahony Butchers
For something a little different, O’Mahony Butchers has a selection of tasty and exotic barbecue meats guaranteed to spark up your appetite. Why not try out the Balle Farm Lamb Koftas, made with tender ground lamb with red onion, fresh mint and warm spices - simply succulent, and best served with pittas or flatbreads?
Iberico sobrassada burgers with sun dried tomatoes, kalamata olives and apple are a mildly spiced and delicious option. For steak lovers, O’Mahony’s have 42 day dry aged tomahawk steaks - juicy, tender and full of splendour. For more classic fare, there are dry aged rib cap burgers - no fillers or seasoning, just 100% dry aged beef, coarsely ground with added bone marrow.

Tom Bradley Bacon & Pork
The recently rebranded Tom Bradley Bacon & Pork has a wide barbecue range. Using combinations of chilli, coriander, barbecue, sumac, rosemary and black pepper, all their marinades are mixed at the stall and are all gluten free.
Tom Bradley’s famous 2 hour low and slow baby back ribs come in a cooking bag marinated in barbecue, chilli and coriander for those who want the barbecue effect without the mess. They also come loose for proper barbecue enthusiasts who have the barbecue already fired on.
Kathleen Noonan
Kathleen Noonan’s stall has finger-licking-good hot and spicy barbecue spare ribs ready and waiting to be thrown on the barbecue.
The ribs are available in cook in the bag packaging to save time in the heat. Noonan’s also have much-loved cocktail sausages.
O’Sullivan’s Poultry and Game
For chicken lovers, O’Sullivans boast skewers seasoned in cajun, bombay gold or ginger, chilli & lime, chicken burgers made in store, and there is a wide selection of produce available. Whether you prefer barbecue, hot and spicy or plain, there are chicken wings and drumsticks of each flavour to choose from.
O’Sullivan’s can include or remove thigh bones, leave the skin on or off, or spatchcook chicken so they are ready to fire up on the grill.
