Pink ladies!
Ladies, grab your pink knickers from the goodie bag and let’s go swimming!
It’s all for the Pink Knickers Swim taking place at Inchydoney Beach later this month as part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
The registration fee is €40 and includes a goodie bag with a complimentary pair of special pink knickers for this unique charity event.
The organisers of the event are also encouraging women to don some additional pink accessories on that day.
To mark the Irish Cancer Society’s Big Pink Breakfast and Care For Your Pair campaign this October, Clonakilty will be hosting a ladies only event with a twist – a refreshing dip in The Wild Atlantic Way whilst donning their pink knickers, followed by a picnic breakfast on the beach.
Proceeds from the event will help fund vital breast cancer research, as well as support the local fundraising efforts in Clonakilty to build a new, safe and inclusive playground.
The registration fee will include a goodie bag containing a pair of pink knickers, a surprise beauty gift courtesy of Harrington’s Pharmacy, Clonakilty, and an exclusive invite to the post-swim beach picnic breakfast, supplied by Inchydoney Island Lodge and Spa Hotel.
Orla O’Donovan, from the Clonakilty Playground Fundraising Committee explained: “We jumped at the chance to organise a Big Pink Breakfast with a difference in Clonakilty as part of Breast Cancer Awareness month.
“We also hope that this event will become an annual charity dip to help raise vital funds for cancer research during Breast Cancer Awareness month,” she said.
“We welcome all women to join us on Saturday 23 October to be part of this special event and to help support these two important causes.”
This October during Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Irish Cancer Society are asking women to Care For Your Pair and are encouraging family and friends to do the same.
