Networking events to begin in April
A blue economy developer has confirmed that it will continue to a series of networking events in Cobh.
Simply Blue Group will continue their support for another series of Cobh and Harbour Chamber networking events throughout 2023.
The face-to-face evening events held in 2022 proved to be a huge success among members and non-members and showcased some excellent venues in Cobh and Cork Harbour.
Johanna Murphy, President of Cobh & Harbour Chamber said: “We are delighted to be working with the team at Simply Blue Group once again this year. Their partnership in 2022 was a great opportunity to engage with our members and to open the discussion further on the renewable energy sector and the many opportunities this sector will offer Cork Harbour. These events are open to everyone, and we look forward to announcing dates and venues very soon.”
Simply Blue Group, headquartered in Cork, is focused on pioneering blue economy projects such as floating offshore wind, e-fuels, wave energy and low-impact aquaculture. The company has a pipeline of over 10GW of floating offshore wind projects across the globe, of which 2 are projects in Ireland – Emerald Floating Wind off the Cork coast and Western Star Floating Wind off the West Coast of Ireland.
Captain Brian Fitzgerald, Director of External Affairs and Stakeholder Liaison at Simply Blue Group said: “Our experience last year of working with the Cobh and Harbour Chamber and supporting the networking series was hugely positive and therefore the opportunity to partner again in 2023, is very welcome.
“These events offer a unique opportunity to positively engage with the community and industry that we hope will be part of Cobh and Cork Harbour’s renewable energy solutions into the future.”
The afterhours networking series kicks off in April and is open to both members and non-members, but places must be booked in advance via the cobhharbourchamber.ie website.
