Artists unmasked!

A charity event billed as “Ireland’s most mysterious art sale” has been a sell-out success, raising over €200k for children with complex medical needs.

Featuring more than 1,200 artists, with 108 hailing from Cork, the Incognito 2024 art sale raised a remarkable €217,425 for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.

Monies raised will support over 12,000 hours of in-home nursing and respite care, and end-of-life care, to over 400 children with complex medical needs currently under Jack and Jill’s care in Ireland.

The sale is unique in that buyers are unaware of the name of the artist behind a given piece until after they have bought it. The big reveal of ‘who did what’ can now be viewed on incognito.ie, where the Incognito 2024 artists have been unmasked.

Now in its eighth year, 2024 saw the biggest Incognito collection to date with 3,345 original postcard-sized artworks, all donated by over 1,200 artists from Ireland and all over the world.

The sale attracted interest from over 44,000 visitors from Ireland and worldwide from countries including Australia, the UK, Germany, Canada, the US, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.

For Deirdre Walsh, CEO of the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation, Incognito is all about community and translating art into a currency for care. “I hope those who were successful in securing a piece of art will enjoy it for many years to come and take pride in the fact that their contribution has helped towards providing more than 12,000 hours of in-home nursing care and respite support to over 400 families caring for children with complex medical needs across Ireland.

She added: “We want to extend a sincere thank you to every single artist and art lover involved in making Incognito 2024 such a great success for the Jack and Jill Children’s Foundation.”

Jack and Jill is a nationwide charity that funds and provides in-home nursing care and respite support to families caring for children, up to the age of six with complex medical needs. The charity must raise over €7.5 million per year to keep its vital services going.
