Queen Anne is due to arrive in Cobh soon.

Queen Anne is Cobh bound

A queen is coming to Cork! The Queen Anne ship is set to take to the high seas for a one-of-a-kind circumnavigation of Ireland and the UK where she will make historical visits to Cobh and the northeast coast of Ireland.

It's part of 14-night voyage which will depart Southampton tomorrow, 24 May, making maiden calls to Edinburgh, Invergordon, Greenock, Belfast, and Liverpool where guests sailing on the voyage will have an opportunity to join the naming celebrations before a late evening departure bound for Cobh followed by her return to Southampton.

The voyage is set to showcase the very best of Ireland’s shores as Cunard’s 249th ship makes maiden trip around Ireland. In Cobh, a significant port in Cunard’s history, guests will be invited to explore the coastal town and visit Blarney Castle.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said: “Both Belfast and Cobh will forever hold a special place in Cunard history, and we are delighted that our guests will have an opportunity to explore parts of this stunning coastline.”
