Tusla launches paid apprenticeship places

Rosarii Mannion, National Director, People and Change, Tusla (left) and Kate Duggan, CEO Tusla.Tusla Child and Family Agency is to offer 25 fully paid apprenticeship places as a partner in the first-ever Level 9 Apprenticeship in Social Work commencing in September and designed to shape the future of social work in Ireland.
The initiative was launched in Cork by Minister for Further and Higher Education, Research, Innovation and Science Patrick O’Donovan, TD with partners Tusla, UCC, and the All-Employers Forum in attendance. The 24-month apprenticeship will see the participants fully paid while immersed in the field of social work and pursuing academic accreditation by UCC via blended learning. Upon completion, each apprentice will be eligible to register with CORU as a social worker.
The 25 apprenticeship posts offered by Tusla are open to both Tusla staff and external applicants with broad eligibility criteria and recognition of prior learning a feature.
