Meeting the future's demands
A new report has forecasted that there will be at least 21,000 new jobs in Ireland's biopharma sector by 2027.
Carried out by the Expert Group on Future Skills Needs (EGFSN), the report emphasises the need for an appropriately skilled workforce, particularly to meet the twin transition of digitalisation and sustainable growth.
Poised to meet this demand is Innopharma Education, an Irish institute delivering QQI-accredited certificate degree and post graduate programmes in biopharma, medtech, digital transformation, and food science.
As a result of Innopharma Education’s focus on high-demand sectors, many of its courses commencing in September 2024 have received Springboard+ or HCI funding.
“Many of our associate lecturers come from senior management positions in the Irish Life Science industry,” explained Dr Aine Behan, Programme Director with Innopharma Education.
“Our part-time and hybrid course formats allow learners to study while they work. Our approach combines technical and academic knowledge with practical applications, according to current industry-standards,” she added.
Innopharma Education courses also include career development modules, guiding learners through CV writing, job sourcing, networking, and interview preparation. This equips graduates with personal career strategies and the confidence to secure relevant positions.
As the Irish Life Science industry expands, Innopharma Education remains dedicated to equipping students with the essential skills to thrive.
