Barry lands new global editorial role

Those were the words of Anna Wintour, Condé Nast Chief Content Officer and Global Editorial Director of Vogue speaking about Ballincollig native Samantha Barry who has been named Glamour's First Global Editorial Director.
In this new role she will oversee all content strategy for Glamour across the brand’s global editions in Germany, Mexico and Latin America, Spain, UK, and the US. Barry has been the editor in chief of Glamour US since 2018 and in 2021 became Americas editorial director.

Under Barry’s leadership as editor in chief of Glamour US, the iconic women’s title has transformed into a digital-first brand while growing its audience and engagement, in addition to video and commerce capabilities. During her tenure, she has evolved the annual Women of the Year Awards into a global celebration that champions Glamour’s diverse community around the world.
