Nostra open first ever office in Cork

An Irish IT services provider this week opened its first office in Cork which it said marked the culmination of a €5 million investment in Munster IT and AV services in 2024.

Nostra said its expansion incorporates teams from local Nostra acquisitions, Compunet Ireland Ltd and Spectrum AV, adding that it will also serve as a base for new talent in Cork.

The company will expand its workforce by adding 70 new roles over the next 12 months across cybersecurity, marketing, engineering, account management, and sales. This includes roles at the new Cork site, some which are currently live.

Kevin O’Loughlin, CEO and co-founder of Nostra, and an a EY Entrepreneur of the Year finalist, said: “Our new office reflects Nostra’s long-term commitment to making Cork a key hub for technology innovation and exceptional service delivery. It’s been a strong 12 months for Nostra in the region, acquiring two fantastic companies in Spectrum and Compunet and bringing their expertise into one cohesive Nostra team. We are well-positioned to meet the evolving needs of our clients across Munster and beyond, with an even more robust suite of services.”

Opened by European Commissioner Designate Michael McGrath, the new office, based in the heart of Cork’s Docklands.

The Cork expansion is part of Nostra’s five-year plan, including growing to 1,000 employees, reaching €250 million in revenue, and supporting 200,000 users. Nostra said the company’s long-term vision also encompasses European acquisitions and eliminating malware threats for its clients, underscoring Nostra’s strategic momentum and direction.
