Car stopped with missing front tyre

A garda investigation is underway after a car with no front tyre and some damage was stopped in Cork county this week.

Gardaí in Midleton have said while they were on patrol on Monday night they came across a car driving through the East Cork town which they said was greatly damaged and without one of its front tyres.

After the car stopped, gardaí said on social media that the driver was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.

Posting the incident to Facebook, gardaí said: “Yes, it was this extensively damaged and without its right front tyre. When stopped, the driver was arrested on suspicion of intoxicated driving.”
