Duran Duran announce one-off summer show

Music icons Duran Duran are set to delight Leeside fans this summer with tickets for their one-off show going on sale tomorrow, Friday.

The legendary British band who have sold over 100 million albums worldwide play Cork’s Virgin Media Park on 1 July.

Joining the multi-award-winning Rock & Roll Hall of Famers as special guests will be long-time friend and hit-making collaborator Nile Rodgers who will performs hit after hit with his band Chic.

The Cork show forms part of a wider European Tour that includes a show in Dublin, two UK shows in Exeter and Chelmsford, as well as performances in Finland, Belgium, The Netherlands, Denmark, Italy, Germany, and Spain.

Duran Duran have sold more than 100 million records worldwide, scored 18 American hit singles and 21 UK Top 20 tunes, and are considered by many as one of the most successful and influential bands of all time. They have also been honoured with eight lifetime achievement awards, two Grammys, two BRITs, and two Ivor Novellos, one of which was for their Outstanding Contribution to British Music.

Ticket’s for the Cork show go on sale tomorrow, Friday, at 10am. Tickets start at €69.90 plus service charge per ticket.

Mastercard cardholders currently have special access to presale tickets in Ireland until 9am on Friday.
