Both looks from the Charlotte & Tess Atelier collection.

Beautifully styled but somewhat relaxed

When it comes to styling your outfits, a casual look is always an easy one to put together.

Most people when push comes to shove could pick a super dressy occasion wear outfit for a glam wedding but it’s those outfits that you need for dinner dates, day two of a wedding or a special occasion brunch that can leave us feeling baffled when it comes to what to wear. Do you go dressy or keep it more on the casual side?

You want to look beautifully styled but also have a somewhat relaxed and comfortable feel to the look and the new Atelier collection from Charlotte and Tess is where this capsule collection of occasion wear pieces really shines. Charlotte and Tess is a fabulous online boutique which stocks stunning, feminine pieces that add an air of effortless chic to any wardrobe.

This new collection from the brand features a seven piece collection featuring three dresses and four separates mixing luxe fabrics with delicate femininity and combined with some structured power tailoring ensuring anyone wearing the pieces will feel sophisticated and empowered which was the vision of founder Sarah-Jayne Lavery.

From timeless wardrobe staples to trend led statement pieces, Charlotte and Tess has quickly become a go-to destination for style conscious women whether you peruse the collection online or are lucky enough to visit the bricks and mortar store in Tyrone.

Understanding the demands of a busy lifestyle Sarah-Jayne has curated a collection that is easy to style, effortless to wear and always elegant due in part to the combination of simplicity and standout design with a focus on quality, fit and versatility.

There are three pieces that really stand out for me and these pieces mix simplicity with interesting design details and would be stunning looks for anyone who is looking to invest in their occasion wear pieces. The first two work so well together and that is the Elle organza top and trousers. I adore the soft flowing peplum detail that is a great mix of stylish and laidback when worn together with the loose-fitting trousers and needs very little styling, just add some simple gold accessories.

The soft shade of cream is a great neutral that is so flattering and means you can style it with a number of different colours, and I actually think would lend itself well to being styled with some leopard or snakeskin heels for something a little bit more daring than gold. Both pieces could easily be styled separately and given a more casual feel, I would style the top with white barrel leg denim and the trousers with a t-shirts and oversized blazer.

If you’re a 2025 bride, then you are absolutely going to need the Ivy boucle dress in your wardrobe. It’s got an adorable, frilled collar and the most stunning structured silhouette while the short style keeps it fresh and modern. I love the way a classic fabric like boucle is having a resurgence and this dress feels expensive without looking stuffy and over the top.

This would be a great dress for your hen party, day two of your wedding or as a chic city wedding dress. Of course, wearing white isn’t only for brides to be. This dress would be perfect for a glam birthday dinner and while you could keep the styling simple, I would also use spring tones of lilac, lemon, pistachio or powder blue to give it a whole other feel. That’s the beauty of neutrals, it’s so easy to change up the look with the addition of colour or print. Now I just need an invite to somewhere fancy!
